These Terms of Service govern your use of the Maggie Pet Health Care app and related services (collectively, "Maggie" or the "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using Maggie, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Acceptance of terms

You must be at least 13 years old to use Maggie. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these terms.

Licence to use the app

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Maggie on your personal devices for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these terms.

You must not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service, nor attempt to reverse-engineer or extract source code from the app, except where the law expressly permits this.

Your content

You own the data you enter into Maggie. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store and process your data for the sole purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your content.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you record and for any decisions you make based on it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Maggie to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation.
• Infringe the rights of any third party.
• Transmit harmful, offensive, or misleading content.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, other users' accounts, or related systems.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

Veterinary advice disclaimer

Maggie is a personal health-tracking and organisational tool, not a medical or veterinary service. The information provided by Maggie, including content generated by the Leo AI assistant, is for general informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Always seek the guidance of a qualified veterinarian for any questions you have regarding your pet's health or medical condition. Never disregard professional veterinary advice or delay seeking it because of something you read in Maggie or from Leo.

Subscriptions and billing

Maggie offers a free tier and a Pro subscription. Subscription purchases and renewals are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) on your behalf. Billing terms, refund policies, and cancellation processes are governed by the platform through which you subscribed. We do not process payment information directly.

Pro features are available to the subscribing account and, where household sync is active, to all members of that household.

Availability and modifications

We aim to keep Maggie available and working well, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice, though we will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will indicate the update date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profit, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these terms will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or 10 USD if you have not made any payments.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities; in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Governing Jurisdiction Placeholder]. Any disputes arising under these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.
